Firstly, we hand pick the rosehip fruit from wild rose bushes. That’s right – we only use wild bushes that are grown in the beautiful highlands of South Africa.

We ensure the harvesting process has minimal impact on the environment.
How?
Because harvesting is all done by hand.
There are no pesticides or other ‘interventions’…the bushes are grown 100% naturally in the wild.
The hips from the bushes are even hand-picked in a specific way (by local workers), so as not to break or cut the brunches - further enhancing the sustainability.
(We also leave some of the hips on the bushes, which provides food for the local birds and roaming cattle).
Giving back to the community…

In the part of South Africa where we harvest the product, it can be difficult to get a fair wage. That’s why we employ local workers, and pay them significantly more than the going rate. What’s more, 5% of the total purchase of raw material is given back to the community.
